    freelander 2nd gear problem

    I have a manual freelander 1.8 petrol.

    In second gear the car judders, when just about to change to third ,all other gears are okay.

    Has anyone had a similiar problem

    Check the front rubber mounting on the rear diff. It chews out and causes some shuddering or knocking. If it is not this then you need to look elsewhere.
