I did exactly the same thing, felt like a goose.

I just took the risk and unbolted the two head bolts and then torqued them up again.
That was about 20,000km ago and up until this weekend I would have said "no dramas",

I checked the coolant after blasting into lakefield to meet the CCCCC at the weekend, have used about 50-100mL. There is a slight weep from the thermo housing so Im hoping thats where it is from but the water temp has been hot on hills for a while despite new rad, new pump, new fan clutch...

Will keep an eye on it.

Unless you remove the head and re-do the tightening sequence there is the risk of something bad... from memory there isnt too many water passages in the vicinity of the back DS bolts... someone will have a theory on it.

I used the all metal gasket at the recommendation of a LR mechanic?
I didnt turn the engine, just noticed after doing up the head bolts that the air cleaner needed two of them!
