Thread: 300tdi h/d clutch kit

Hi,
Does anyone recommend a good value for money heavy duty clutch kit for the 300tdi. I see Britpart (Part No. DA5551) have one for £41.95. Is this one any good?

I replaced the original Valleo ($$$$$) with a Borg and Beck unit and everything is fine. You don't need a 'Heavy Duty' clutch, that's what low range is for. If you do decide to do the job yourself, pull the motor out (the clutch is after all bolted to it) as its not too hard and considerably easier than wrestling with the gearbox and you can do all sorts of other maintenance while its out.
