I'm sure no-one has tricked up their new Defender engine whilst it's still under warranty! You're a brave soul if you do. Land Rover can be difficult at times if something goes wrong and it's discovered that you've modified the engine or drivetrain.

    Welcome to the site...

oh, AND THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT .

WHAT?? I'M GETTING A BIT HARD OF HEARING THESE DAYS

Seriously though, there were heaps of people that did various upgrades to the TD5 while it was under warranty. I don't see why the puma should be different.

I asked one of the mechanics one day about it and he said that as long as I didn't get the "wild" ecu upgrade no one would care. Just keep it subtle and preferably do mods that can be easily reverted if required.

It is being done at least in the UK.

This mob are doing it: www.bellautoservices.co.uk

People are restoring the tune to standard before the vehicle goes for service and resetting it after.

You will find discussion on this on www.Defender2.net if you do a search using "BAS".

you dont need to from what I have heard!!

I have heard that when the PUMA is put on the computer everything is reset including fuel maps......I was also told that they have done this to stop people mapping the engines.
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
