I always use Bosch alternators from an air conditioned XD or XF Falcon the one I currently use is a 60 amp.
Cheap and reliable
Hi all,
Mine's a petrol Series III and the output is around 35 amps. I want to install something which will produce at least 60 amps - ideally 80 amps or more. Is there any obvious choice, such as a Defender or other model which will suit?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers,
Lane.

Not sure you would have to check
From memory the 6 had the same legs as a Valiant 6
Not sure about the 4
I am running a Ford alternator on my V8 at the moment
The XF EFI alternator was a brilliant unit.
Just a 2 minute job to replace the regulator and brushes while still in the vehicle. (single module held in by 2 screws)
