    Thanks for the info - the nice RACV person confirms the amplifier ( dizzy mounted version) is stuffed - even with his box of tricks couldn't restore it.

    Whilst I'm still at Central Dandenong Rd carwash at the moment, I daresay I'll get the RACV to tow me to Toorak Tractor Co, and I'll find an amp tomorrow.

    I think its lower Dandenong rd actually as dandenong and warrigal is in Chadstone
