Can someone point this old so & so in the right direction. Now have a SsangYong Musso 4x4 towing a 17' van, happy at the moment but longing to have a Defender. The Defender used to be computer free - but along with the TD5 engine in about 2000 came a computer - hence the chip upgrades. The TD5 engine, despite a couple of specific problems ("oil in harness" and "oil pump bolt" come to mind) is usually a very reliable and very durable engine, but if you have problems, they are likely to be expensive ones.
