    Cool oil's whats the go

I got the 0 or 5 or 10 is the thin end and the 30 or 40 is the thick end
    theres API, ILSAC and ACEA
and low ash and Diesel particlate filter safe
But my 2008 disco 3 diesel Requires a ford spec WSS-M2C913-B "ONLY"
Not many manufactures list this spec some list it on a semi synthetic oil
some full synthetic oils may be better but what about warranty?

Does any body have the tech info?

For warranty purposes, use the recommended oil.

We are seeing, and will see more of Engine manufacturer oil specs to suit particular engine families, just like has been happening forever with truck diesels.

API is the American Petroleum Institute. They are responsible for basic oil specs in the US.
The ACEA is run by the engine manufacturers in Europe, and so IMO the oil spec is more relevant to what is needed in an engine. The way the Yanks have it is more like the tail wagging the dog, although there are individual manufacturer specs, they tend to fall in the API's broad definitions.
ILSAC is the International Lubricants Standardisation and Approval Committee. They were formed by the US manufacturers (AAMA) and the JASO to push oil specs along in NA due to their belief that oil specs in the US under ASTM, API and SAE were languishing.
