Hi guys.
Just bought a PowerTrax lock right diff for my Disco 1. No one here in the UK has any knowledge of these as they seem to be exclusively used in the USA.
Do any of you have any experience of these lockers?

I have 2 of them in my 2 stroke Suzuki and they work fine...(cheap & nasty but the only option available short of welding). Had no idea they made them for Rovers and wouldn't want one in the Defender. The 130 has a rear Maxidrive anyhow and you can't use Lockright in the front of constant 4x4. If you already have it try it in the rear diff you might like it. If not you can always take it out again.
Like Dave (Ashtrans) says, bad idea. If you want an auto locker the original Detroit is the bees knees, or the best selective locker is a Maxidrive, then ARB air locker. Detroit also do a Truetrack, a geardriven LSD. These can be fitted to the front as you can steer through them. I have fitted twin trutracks to a D1 Tdi auto and it has transformed the vehicle without upsetting it's road manners at all.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Bad idea, the cross pin in the rover diff is simply to **** weak to sustain such a locker, don't bother
Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone had or new where i would be able to find a diff locker for a range rover, i have been trying to find them and i have had no luck..
Cheers Guys. As it was only $100 AUD (£50) I thought it was worth a go. I have plenty of spare diffs if this one is ng.
Update:
Lock-right diff working ok. Bit brutal on the running gear, but loads of grip on both wheels. The internals seem to be holding up ok, but have recently sheared all 6 bolts on the half shaft drive flange, combination of bit too much right foot and (possibly) loose bolts. in VERY muddy conditions. Also have twisted half shaft, but not broken it (yet).
So for the money I think pretty good.![]()
