Is it posible to put a Isuzu 3.9 from a series 3 Landover into a 1995 discovery. We have just seen an unregistered 1995 discovery that may be for sale and are thinking of making an offer on it. Only real damage is a front bumper on it [and if RRC bull bar fits we have a spare], so we are tempted by it. Our RRC is a no goer at the moment, dropped timing chain.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
It's been done to many rangies before, not shore about disco's but they are virtually the same so there won't be a problem

Mums- stock 92 200tdi d1.
I'm nearing the end of that particular nightmare- mines a '91 (V8) with a 4BD1-T and Isuzu box. The only thing I would confirm is the applicable emission requirements. My research showed the 4BD1 is Euro I compliant which for a 4WD goes to 1993 - anyway, the engineer says it's okay as does the rego and insurance lot.
That Euro info was from Wikipedia which isn't Gospel but it got me over the line...
As far as jamming it in there, it's not a difficult job, just fiddly getting all the little bits to like each other. I'm doing a write up of it all but that's a matter of getting all the photos, invoices and part numbers sorted - so it's a little way off.
Matt.
