    V8 D1 Air flow meter

    ok sorry if i cant find it but

    i want to clean the air flow meter sensor

    how is it done

    do i do it while the car is running?
    what can be used to do it with?
    is it something i should not do while its attached

    i pulled the plug of it while it was running today and it surged went to stall but canme good and ran with it unpluged i think it needs cleaning

    Take it off.
    Remove the screen by prying out the lock ring.
    Spray electronic Contact cleaner into the small hole on the LH side as you look in the intake.
    After spraying you should see two bright wires in the hole.
    let it dry .
    Replace it.

    easy job

    It is exactly as PhilipA said, its what I did except I unscrewed the case. Very easy and not a long job all up 20 min approx including let it dry.
    Dont drop it!!! Take your time.
