I'd be fitting an Exhaust Gas Temperature gauge and keeping an eye on the temperatures. I think 720 degrees is the recommended max pre-turbo (I know you don't have one).
Hi everybody,
After a few ideas on how to properly adjust a diesel for correct fueling. The engine is an Isuzu 4BB1 and is normaly asperated. I have a feeling the fueling on the injector pump was set a little low, after increasing the fuel a little and geting a dramatic power increase. Is it going to cause any damage making minor fuel screw changes?
Cheers

If you are making too much black smoke you have too much fuel (black smoke is incomplete combustion - often because the engine is not getting enough air to burn the fuel, but could be faulty injectors).
In a NA diesel, if you are not making excessive smoke, you should be ok.
