The quickest way is to cut the two airlines at the compressor end,, attach schrader valves,
add air.
sort of defeats the purpose though---
and maybe repost this in the D2 Forum,,
Hi Everyone, I have an intermittent SLS problem with my Disco TD5 which is doing my head in!! Over the last few months I have noticed when the back of the vehicle is loaded up or I hitch the van on the SLS deflates and will not rise again once the vehicle starts (I have checked and all doors are closed). I have even tried hitching up etc with the engine running when vehicle is at normal height and it still deflates and will not rise to normal level again. I engage the off rode mode switch, it beeps and the warning lamp flashes like normal but SLS still doesn’t rise. If I unload or unhitch to reduce weight it still doesn’t rise. I do notice the RH side is down on the bump stop and LH side about a third way up.
The weird thing is if I leave it for a while (maybe an hour or so) and try again it usually corrects itself and comes back up, even under load.
I have been reading the RAVE cd trying to figure it out but I am stumped. I have removed and cleaned rear height sensors, checked air bags and no leaks, checked air compressor and its working ok, checked the relay, fuses etc basic stuff and everything is in order. Under normal driving situations without load I never have a problem.
I have a small mod - extensions on the height sensors to increase height by about 25 -30 mm and I did replace shocks about 10 months ago. But the problem only started about 2 or so months ago.
Wondering if there is a simple way to manually override the system? Would be very handy!!
Any ideas or suggestions into this problem would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Richard
