Haven't done a D2, but essentially the same box as a D1 except with electronic control.
If you want to give it a proper birthday you will need to remove the sump to change the filter. On a D1 this involves removing one of the transmission mounts to get access to the rear sump bolt - again not sure if its the same on a D2.
I'm not sure if the correct terminology for the bit on the bottom of the trans that holds the oil is sump or pan - but I'll call it a sump.
Drain the oil
Remove the sump (6 bolts/clamps)
Remove the filter and pickup from the valve body - 3 bolts ( Torx T25 from memory )
Remove the plastic pickup
Fit new "O" ring to pickup
Fit pickup to new filter
Fit new "O" ring around the hole in the filter where it mates with the valve body
Refit the filter and pickup to the valve body
Clean the inside of the sump
Refit the sump with new rubber gasket (normally comes in service kit)
- not that there are 2 different clamp styles, one for corners of sump and one for straight sides of pan.
Refill with correct oil and go through normal oil level check procedure.
Note that you can only drain about half the oil as a lot is trapped in the torque converter etc. If you want to get closer to a full oil change then after the initial change, drive the vehicle for a few hundred k's and then drain and refill again. You should have around 75% fresh oil in it once you've finished.
