Well after more than two years I have finally bit the bullet and bought a Tru Trac diff lock for the rear Salisbury of my 110 from Keith at
Rovertracks.
This was prompted partly by having this on my wish list for so long and wanting more more traction but as the $AU to the $US is so good at the moment it makes it that much easier to get it past the financial controller.
Just wondering though if fitting a Tru Trac can be done by someone with reasonable mechanical skills?
I have not worked on diffs before but remember reading that the Tru Trac / Detroit SofLocker simply drop in replacing the existing centre using the old crown wheel so there is no change to preload on pinion etc. Is this correct?
If anyone has the instructions for fitting a Tru Track that would be great. It won't arrive for another 2-3weeks so I could read ahead and know what I am in for.
Thanks
