gday wondering discovery series 2 2000 model help please
gday just wondering if anyone out there would know about a problem with my landrover discovery series 2 v8 2000 model. The missus took it for a drive and gave it a gut full but her foot slipped of accelerator and just released really quick which stuck butterfly and springs etc got stuck in closed position. I fixed the problem the main part that goes into the engine got stuck just levered it with a bit of force to unlock it. I was wondering is this a safety thing or not??? any ideas be greatly appreciated thanks lindsey

I can't say I've heard of this problem before but it sounds like the butterfly just got jammed in the gum build up that throttle bodies tend to get.
Give it a clean out with some carby cleaner.
