    Molybdenum grease & wheel bearings

recently found myself in posession of a couple of dozen tubes of grease, split fairly evenly between:

    Mobil Minegrease 681 (NGLI 1 Lithium complex 5% MoS2)
Caltex Liplex EP2 (NGLI 2 Lithium complex)
Valvoline ValPlex EP (NLGI 2 Lithium complex, 3% MoS2)
Valvoline Multi-Lube Lith 2 EP (NGLI 2 Lithium Soap)

i dont particularly need so much of the damn stuff, so im offloading what i wont need locally between a few friends, but which are the pick of the above when it comes to wheel bearings, ball joints and uni's?

also, does grease "age" provided its kept sealed and at a relatively stable temperature? and is there any way of determining the age of the grease from the label on the tube?

When I bought some uni joints from hardie spicer recently, it said on the box NOT to use a moly grease. If you were going to keep only one I'd go the high temp EP rated non moly probly. The moly stuff is good for sliding joints like tailshaft splines.
I don't think there are major issues with grease aging if it's sealed, it's just that the newer greases will have "newer ratings", and may have the latest tech etc - same as for sealed containers of oil (of course when open there would be some slow oxidation etc)
I'm no expert if anyone knows better!

The Valplex grease is good to keep for your maintance. grease doesnt go off just keep it a cool place.
