AFAIR my 77 had a steel lump of a thing that looked locally fitted.
It fits very low on the lh side of the block using some holes in the block in front of the engine mount and AFAIR was mounted vertically ie not on the V but further down. AFAIR , it also had a brace to a sump bolt and the idler pulley sat down very low under/ behind the front cross member.
There were several diifferent mounts and the later ones are a casting on the RH head.
