welcome to earth faults.
fozzy did the same thing with the park lights and the head lights.
Hello...
Was coming home from Camden tonight as we went to get in the car noticed AGAIN that I had a headlight out...walked around the front of the car hit the left head light and it comes back on....but the right goes out
.
this doesn't usually happen as usually hit the one thats out and it comes on and stays on for a bit.
Last time we thought it was because the relays behind the headlight from the traxide upgrade had come a little loose and couldn't remember whether they were earthed from the bolts or not. any how driving home now with one head light...(which is my biggest pet hate) and noticed that when ever hi beam goes on the interior light give a quick flash
did it a couple of times to make sure we were not imagining things but sure enough every time you click on hi beam the interior light gives a short flash.
when we got home I turned off the lights and back on only to notice that turning the switch to turn lights on and off also makes the interior light give a short flash.
I just wouldn't even know where to start but the first thing I thought is I haqve a short somewhere.
or does anyone think my light stalk assembly could be faulty????

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I'd be checking all relevant earth points. If you've fitted relays for the headlights I would start there and ensure that all the earth connections are clean and secure.
Earthing faults can cause the weirdest symptoms, as return current tries to find its way home!
Cheers,
Lionel
When I operate the horn in my RRC the interior light gives a very brief flash. It is so short that you can only see it at night. I suspect if I had a normal globe rather than LEDs that it wouldn't happen at all.
yes mine has LED's as well and you can only see it at night...but it never used to do it this is what concerns me

Hi Dullbird
Guessing its your D2 not the Fender???
If you have the RAVE disc,I found a diagram yesterday of all the D2 earth points in the Library section(electrical).May make the job a little easier to track.

Lou, fiddle around with the door switches. Our Puma was doing this after I re-aligned the doors and I had to play with the driver's door switch.
It could be just one switch is making a faulty connection.

I assumed as much and whilst I referred to my Puma it still applies to your Disco. Worth checking the door light switches.
