Thread: FleetGuard Filters

we run them at amberly on pretty much everything from some of the filters on the IMV to the ones on the donk that pulls back the cable after an arrest.

I use the cav equivelent one for the primaries on fozzy

The spare parts fellas at work sell Fleetguard filters. So I thought I might make the change from Ryco to Fleetguard as it works out a bit cheaper with the work discount

I was just wondering is anyone else running Fleetguard? and if your are; what are the filter numbers for your 300 Tdi?

Just the oil and fuel filters

I have just bought, but not yet fitted a LF3311, does this match up with your 300Tdi Oil filter number.

I can get Fleetguard locally and I assume/hope they are better than Ryco.

The one I have looks a bit shorter than the genuine LR one that's on there at the moment.

Your right it does look a bit shorter than the Genuine but I think a little longer than the Ryco

I noticed that the last Fleetguard fuel filter I bought for my Nissan TD42 was made in Indonesia

I've also used Fleetguard oil filters on the TD42 but have recently switched to Ryco (after trying lots of different filters)because the anti drain back valves on the Rycos are so much better - on startup the oil light now goes off in less than two seconds instead of about 5 with the Fleetguards. The Fleetguards apparently have a better filter medium, but I feel a lot happier when the oil light goes off so much quicker. TD42's are particularly fussy about drain back valves and it may not be an issue on a 300 Tdi.

Fleetguard were Cummins house brand. They could hardly recommend use of another brand.

I had the debate years ago with the difference in price of AC filters for the GM's and fleetguard filters. They were made by the same company just painted different colours for different brand names.
Every brand name dose not necessarily make their own filters.
Generaly there is only a few companjes making the actual filters
under licence and to different specs.........
Fleetguard filters nothing wrong with them used them for years.
You will be surprised that under the the different paint logo
in many cases they are made by the same company...........

Yes alot of so called fleet guard filters are repainted ones made in Asia just like every thing else these days
