Thread: 12volt air compressor exhaust valve broken.

I have a standard piston style air compressor that stopped pushing air.. bugger.

So after pulling it apart have found that the air exhaust valve (splice) has broken. Its the small piece of metal that sits in the chamber above the piston that effectively creates the one way air flow.

Have any of you guys had this issue before and have a suggested fix????

modify it and install a propper hi temp hi pressure check valve. you can get them from hydralink/pirteck.
mines 1/2 in and 1/2 out but you can get smaller than that.
