Where to buy Lucas dizzy rotor & cap?

    Hi,

I have been having an irreguar misfire on my 1990 Range Rover 3.9L V8, I have done the leads & plugs (Bosch) and want to do the dizzy rotor & cap. I have read on here about the trouble people have had with aftermarket ignition products. Im trying to source a Lucas rotor and cap but I am down here in NZ and having difficulty doing so.

My local LR agent tells me Lucas stopped making rotors a while back and mentioned something about a silicon tip?

Can anyone suggest any websites I could buy them from?

    Cheers.

Did you sort this one out?
Intermittant shudder on 1990 3.9L RRC?

    Related?

Drop the belt off & give it a quick run to see.

Same problem. I had the auto electrician move the wiring etc. The problem seemed to go away but now its back.

I just wanted to give the dizzy & cap solution a go after seeing this thread: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery/...ing-97-v8.html

But did you run it with the alternator belt off? That's one sure way to eliminate the alternator.

I haven't tried the wiring mod myself - just fitted the right alternator (but I wasn't paying though).
