TD5 injector harness rebuild help

I've got hold of an oiled up TD5 injector wiring harness.

I'm looking to take the harness apart and rebuild so has anyone pulled the injector connectors “fully” apart. Similarly the multi plug. I’d appreciate any tips or alternatives. I think it’s Wiring Looms Australia (WHA) will match the connectors if I pull them apart and send them photo’s. WHA have advised that if they are Bosh injectors they should have the connectors however will not know till I get the photo to them.

I'm going to have a go at sourcing the parts and "rebuilding" I'll then look to do a post with photos.

PS if you are after “Male H4” connection blocks WHA have the blocks and pins so you can make a new snap on take off connection for you lights and then revert to completely standard later if you like without “joins” in the standard harness.

The actual injector loom itself (inside the engine) and male multi does not need disassembly. The connectors on each injector pull down to the wire connector with cheap jeweler screwdriver and there is no need. I just did this recently to run some ferret beads over them. I have an old post somewhere with a pic and is just needs a washout and its brand new. The oil along the lines to the ECU connectors and a few other connectors in the fuse box in my case needed cleaning from all the oil that found its way along the wires. Hope this helps.

I had a good look at the loom when I got home. I wasn't aware previously that their were connectors on the injectors which "connected" to the injector loom.

I suppose it begs the question why the join from the injectors to a separate injector harness

To limit the possibility of oil contamination why not simply run from the injectors directly to the multi harness connector? Is this a bad idea

I’d still like to get the connectors and in particular the multi plug on the injector loom apart if at all possible.

the injector loom is cheap and relatively easy to fit - it's the main loom that's expensive and a hassle to fit. Therefore I reckon the best approach it to just keep an eye on the plug that connects the two and as soon as you spot oil in the injector loom, replace it...should keep you going for another 5 years with one of the 'improved' injector looms one would hope!
