I changed mine before the ill-fated road trip...

I have big hands, a 2nd battery and a 3" exhaust off the turbo...

I went for the 'jam bare had in & swear a lot whilst keeping tongue at correct angle in corner of mouth method'....

    Works every time

Tie a slip knot in a piece of rope (approx 2 metre long), wrap the remainder around the oil filter, pull the rope, the oil filter unscrews. Think and you will have no problems.

    What that trick?

Although Rimmers have missed one important aspect in the design.

    Hello,
Anyone got any tricks for the oil filter with a VNT fitted I had to change mine and to do so had to remove the turbo to get the filter out, as no room as the drian pipe for the turbo is 8mm from the bottom of the filter.
    Anyone ??

Different brands of Td5 filters are different lengths. Soumds like VNT, like Coopers, is one of the longer ones.
