    Axle,
I will be looking to replace my D1 in a couple of years and I had my heart set on a Deefa, post 07.

SWMBO has left the decision totally to me and will accept what I decide, but has said she would prefer a few creature comforts. She suggested a D3 which at the time I had not even considered. My offroader had to have live axles.

I like the D3 but had concerns with "what if something goes wrong when I am in the middle of nowhere" due to the lack of diagnostic info available (through this forum for example) but the more I read and hear it is now a serious consideration.

    Dave.

That was at the top of Kalamunda hill which IMHO is Perth's 4th longest hill.......I had seen that chap driving around Kalamunda in his nice new D3, he had a D1 for years, always waved to me.

I have often towed a loaded horse float up that hill, A D3 shouldn't have any issues with a Dingo.
