    nor mine with CMW

I take mine to a guy in Philip (can't remember the name of his business off the top of my head - which is how little I have had to use him). His name is Russell as I recall. Never been a problem - prices are very reasonable. Always manages to fit me in (an emergency on MY behalf, not his). Will offer a choice of new or second-hand recon parts where price warrants it...

Yeah, that's him - others may not have had the same experience with him - but I'll happily continue to deal with him.

Yep Russel is a BMW Master Mechanic. I used to take my Alpina there - they were very good but forgot simple things when they were busy (could have been a single person who wasn't pulling their weight..)

I just liked the way he dropped everything (the first time) to get my vehicle back on the road. I had owned it less than a day and it died. CMW said they could look at it - in 3 weeks time. Russell said wheel it in and we're onto it - so I flat decked it over to him and the car yard sent me a loaner. I got it back 2 days later.

The second time it was leaking diesel and it was a long weekend coming up - he said to drop it in - diagnosed and ordered the parts - and I picked it up the next afternoon. He had 20 vehicles in the shop - I counted them - and he still found the time to get to mine - and remembered it from the previous visit 18 months earlier.

Anyways - that's the limit of my experience with him - my 2 cents worth.

I do most stuff myself, with the help of this forum. Heavy stuff like clutch re placement I send it out.
