Disco 2 Water crossing and handbrake trouble.

Went through some water today maybe about 0.6m deep. Do the disco diffs have breather holes that can let water in and are there any other issues that can arise from going through deep water.

My handbrake seems to be having some issues, i was lucky to get one click up this afternoon, where i normally get 4 clicks and all the way up so could this be related to the water crossing.

Any help appreciated i have only been a disco owner for a week now.

Yes, they do have breather holes that can let in water. Get underneath and have a look and see if your breathers have extended tubes running up high in to bodywork or engine bay.....if not do it soon. Congrats on becoming a disco owner. Regular maintenance is the key to happy ownership. Hope you become as happy with your vehicle as I am with mine.

My D2 (2004) has what appears to be factory breathers run up the rear LH corner near the SLS air filter, and another in front run up behind my 2nd battery. Hard black poly tube ... definitley factory installed.

Take a look. You should have them already ...
