This unit can be used with a variety sensors for pressure and temperature measurement in vehicles. This particular one has red readout, they also have one with blue.

Download info/manuals from links at bottom of page.

What probe do you use for a D1?

And do you just drill and tap a hole in the blanking plate and put it in there?

Yesterday i ended up putting in a EGT gauge which i got from Auber thats located in the states. Great little unit and i decided to go with the blue for something different. I got the 6 mm dia type-K thermocouple, including 2.5m stainless-steel braided cable from Ian of Thermogaurd with the 1/8" BSP stainless-steel compression fitting a 300Tdi mounting plate drilled and tapped to 1/8" BSP.

do you know why they got the blue one? because I asked for it...never had blue before then only red,green.....

I asked for blue to match the rest of my dash.....the bloke was really nice and said he would have a chat with the people that make them and get back to me....took about 4months but he did it..

I too have bluee one sitting here ready to mount.. i Have had it a couple of months now...just not had the time to fit it

What EGT probe/sensor and other bits required

    Hi there

I recently chipped by td5 defender, and would like to fit an EGT guage.

I recently found myself wanting to buy something totally unrelated to my Landy from Auber instruments, and the site was familiar having seen references to people buying EGT guages from there here on AULRO. So I figure while I'm picking up this other thing, I might as well get whatever I need to monitor EGT's.

Problem is, I have no idea what I need.

    I assume one of these

But what sort or probe/sensor and other bits do I need?

EGT Probes : auberins.com, Temperature control solutions for home and industry

As you can tell from my question, I have no idea about this stuff, and will be getting someone else to fit it, so just want to make sure I pick up the right parts.

If there are options, I'd be grateful for any advice to sort between them.

    Thanks, Tim
