    acceleration stutter????

    I've got an ad-hoc odd stutter at 2900 -3200rpm

Ok to set the scene. 99 D2 TD5 (Grimmy) that has had an intercooler flush, new hoses (LR) 12 months ago and is chipped.

Grimmy normally goes through the rev range and gear changes smoothly from idle with either smooth or hard right foot. This is on the flat and under load up hill.

However if I'm cruising at 80ks and put the foot down either mid acceleration or to the floor when the rpms hit approx 2900 through to 3200rpm the engines seems to stutter for a good few seconds. If it works through this it resumes smoothly up to 4500rpm+. If not I have to back-off and try again.

Got any suggestions where I start looking???

    Cheers....

    injector harness to start with.

    map after that.

maybe the TPS but only bacause I cant quite work out from your post weather your using a constant pedal position and getting there agressively or gradually or if your talking about a flat to the boards vs a mid throttle position.

    Thanks Dave,

'n Happy Birthday for the other week.

At 80ks I'm about 1/4 throttle so pushing slowish down or hard down through 1/2 throttle the stutter kicks in but not always.

Struck me strange that I can always get through the rev range if I'm pulling away from much lower speeds.

I'll double check the harness, I assume checking at the EMU end is the go and give the MAP a squirt.

    Whats the TPS??

If you sort it out at the EMU end, you might "run the pants off a Kangaroo"

Mine does it under light load as described since it was chipped.
As suggested could be the ECU mapping not coping with the light load.
Nanocom should detect a TPS fault.
