    Taking undersize fish

    Hi Guys.
I had a fish yesterday arvo at The Dawesville Cut.
Had the pleasure of catching/releasing 6 nice fat ALMOST size tailor.
Was very disturbed by a group of "new australians" blatantly taking undersize fish.I mentioned too small,as too did another fisho. They were taking them and hiding them in a vehicle parked some distance away.
Eventually they got sick of me and the other bloke yelling too small, they mooved 100m up the cut, still returning to the vehicle.
The otherbloke took a few pics and reported them to Fisheries, saying has reported the same vehicle several times.
Paying for the privellage of catching fish(a licence) would fund more Fisheries Officers to police this CRIME.

There are similar problems up north (gulf and top end) with the asians, one lot in particular. They move into an area, blatantly take everything, and seem to get away with it. Completely rape the area and then move on. One camp even had their own airstrip and were flying undersize and female crabs south where they are legal. One lot crabbing in the McArthur River area were using barra nets as bait nets, blocking off all the small creeks, didn't have a barra licence though. Fisheries seem to be doing SFA. Makes my blood boil when we observe the bag/size/no take limits and see these type flaunting the law and seem to get away with it.
    Cheers......Brian

I was fishing once a long time ago when I was young and silly. I observed the same thing, only "they" were putting the tiny fish through a mincer on the spot. I got sick of it, pulled out my sling shot and from a distance let one of them have it in the middle of the back with a rock. In hindsight, it was a silly thing to do but that sort of thing realy gets to me. If we look after our fish stocks, OUR kids will be able to have fun like I did. The world is too smaller place these days. We need to build a big fence around Australia. Enough is enough.
