Around midnight on Friday, Mr Dienhoff says he and his friend were woken by what they thought was a large log bumping into the boat.
"Later the bump turned into a violent shake," he said.
"The boat was rocking, the cowling nearly got torn off by the crocodile.
"We scampered down the back and turned the spotlight on and about five metres out the back of the boat the crocodile was laying there looking at us."

Very lucky fella's thats for sure..there is a bloody lot of croc's in the south alligater so am not surprised.
Felt first hand how strong the jaws of a 3mtr croc are, so surprised the outboard cowling never got ripped clean off.
