We had 4 boats and 13 blokes. 3 x 6.5m ali and my 5.6m Noosa Cat. Pics of the launch facilities... a bit of wire mesh off the beach! You can do it if you know what you are doing and have a little luck. This year the beach was very soft so a few recoveries but we moored the boats in the bay which saved a lot of time. Whales were unbelievable this year.

So I should be OK beach launching my 5.25 Stacer????
Would modify the trailer with extended drawbar and 3rd wheel.

The one that didn't get away beach launch Gnaraloo

Launching and retrieving your Stacer will be no problem. We have an extended drawbar but no third wheel. Gnaraloo bay has a nice little drop off that you can use even at low tide so with the extended bar and using the mesh you can get far enough in to drive the boat on to the trailer and then pull her out.

Golden rules are to pick the hardest spot on the beach and use mesh under the rear wheels of the car and the trailer. These are on the beach for all users. I've attached a picture of us recovering Gnarly Cat. Unfortunately we lost a lock pin on the trailer hitch so the biggest guys are being used as ballast! The road in and out to Gnaraloo and the bay eats trailers for breakfast so reinforce as much as you can and when you think it is strong, double it. regards Kevo

Back from a week at Albany.
Fishing was very quiet, weather blew its guts out most days so it meant staying in close. The mrs got the best 2 fish,a 44cm King George as fat as a beer can, which in her excitment lead to the rod not going in the rod holder and to the bottom of the sea.She backed the KG up with another at 41cm and just as fat a few days later.

Now where did I put that darn rod.

She got it back from 6.5m

If only all the days wernt as smooth as this

My first fish on the trip, second drop,Harlequin Fish, just over legal, returned it hoping for older siblings, they are loverley eating

Cant wait to get out again.

Hehe,, out fished by the Mrs ehh,, gotta love that,,

We had no luck with the wheather either over our way, the best I did was a very undersized, but healthy bream. Didn't get a pic but
Always nice to get away from the rat race though.
