How about posting up some pics of some of your olde favorite gear.
Today I found an olde Shakesphere 060 at a swapmeet,in very good condition.
It was an older gent selling it,said it was from his dads shed and of no use to him.
Anyhow $10 changed hands
I told him I have an 080 that I bought when I was 16,and it still goes on every fishing trip. When I bought the 080,it was EXPENSIVE,for a pimply faced schoolkid,Ive looked after it.
The 080 is a bloody good reel, mine has caught many a great fish, lost many a great fish, been witness to some tall stories
Good olde Japanese presision gear.
I'm sure I have a suitable rod for the 060,an olde Yamba Jarvis walker that has a real nice feel.Just need to treat the 060 to some braid.
The 060 reel, the red decals haven't even faded!!!!!
The olde favorite 080,same vintage, showing the effects of 34 years of use and care, not abuse, against the 060 "Barn Find"
Post up some olde school gear.

I don't have a pic to post but I have an old reel that was my father in law's from the 80's. It's my go to reel when I'm not catching. I have it paired with a cheapo $20 silstar rod from Anaconda and I reckon I've caught more fish on that than any other combo I have.
Funnily enough I didn't bring it on this trip and I'm going home without a single sized fish for the first time ever.
