Full price $9500 approx. It was fitted with all control cables etc for $8500. This included a prop worth $700 . I think I got a good deal

You will be happy with the E-Tec. Had mine for 5 years and never had an ounce of problems with it. Every few trips I lift the cowling off and give it a light spray with Inox. Also run Salt-Away through it every second trip out.

Check out this video. Always makes me laugh

I can't seem to be able to flush the motor. I connect the hose to the flushing port but I cannot get any water out the top outlet. Even if I start the motor nothing comes out the top. Plenty of water out the top when running normally.

may have a blockage out or just in from the outlet....doesn't take much.

My 60 4 stroke has the hose fitting flush and I'm not a big fan of the system. I prefer the muffs more than it but 99% of the time use a tank/drum.

If you can find a 44 with a plastic liner in it, remove the inner plastic, measure it to fit your leg intake depth and cut to size. I could fit my 175 in one. The advantage is that they are flexible enough to bend under the motor to place but also to squash a side to let the water out after use plus, when full of water, quite rigid. Just trickle feed with a hose while motor is running to keep water topped up.
Additives for salt removal can be added too.

Far better than hose attachment or muffs, in my humble opinion.
