I like to think I get a better product for a better price!
At the Brew on Premise near me, Brews Brothers, I get almost 60L of beer for about $180. Put into bottles you bring, that is 7 cases of beer for a little over $25 per. Buying new bottles is ~$0.50ea.

I have a beer buddy that we each have kegs and CO2 tanks. He uses a second fridge in his garage for his. I have 2 x 10L mini kegs that fit in my kitchen fridge. We then bottle the remaining to give to a third partner or split, depending on how thirsty we are.

Going to kegs is expensive initially, but that is a one time expense. ~$60/keg (20L) x3, CO2 Tank ~$200, connectors and taps ~$50.

Kegs take about 5 min to prep for new beer if filled with cleaner/sanitizer after empty. Then 5 min to fill. Bottles take 10-15 min to load onto washer, wash, put on drying tree. Then about 1-1.5 hours to fill 7 cases. Also, kegs give better carbonation and you can fill half a glass if you want

I do every thing myself, don't bottle anymore, too much like hard work, I have 4 kegs one 45ltr, two 19ltr and one 10ltr party keg, left over fermented beer goes into the 10ltr party keg, with some surprising results

I also distil for liqueurs and whiskey, I have a 10ltr French Oak cask to colour, age and oak my whiskey, getting some very good results in taste, rum is easy to make, good whiskey is really hard to make, so it's a work in progress to get it right.

I still buy beer and whiskey, more whiskey than beer, my brewing of beer is getting better and better, to the point that I only buy imported beers to try for a change and convenience to take camping as I don't bottle homebrew beer anymore.

So my setup is pretty good, not perfect, but getting there

Nice bar! I'm jealous. Had to leave my brew sculpture behind in my move over the pond. I knew I'd be in an apartment here and didn't want the hassle of trying to fit all the brewing equipment in here. I wouldn't mind learning how to make whiskey, but haven't found someone with the equipment and knowledge near me. Admittedly, haven't looked to hard either.

Distilling alcohol is easy, getting the taste right is hard, rum and Bourbon are easy, Scotch and Irish whiskey is very hard to get the taste right, I think it's because Bourbon is just flavoured Moonshine(just add caramel) and you get Bourbon, Rum is just a tad harder, but not as technical as whiskey.

Sounds like the tasting is fun though. Probably starts to taste like 100 year old after the first 2 hours.
