    Sunshine coast brewery.

I am quite partial to a good chilli beer...

The first one I ever tasted was almost 10 years ago from these guys:
    http://www.sunshinecoastbrewery.com/

We were up there on the weekend, and tried some beers at their restaurant:
    Chilli Beer
    Rye ESB
    Bock
    Porter
    Ginger

The Bock, ESB, Chilli were fantastic (in that order). The porter was very good too. We didn't like the ginger - too bland and watery.

They also have some special bottled beers at the restaurant - including an extra hot chilli beet that has a chilli in each bottle. Unfortunately we couldn't manage any more by the time we found that out...

"Cellar door" brewery sales are only on weekends, so we bought some ESB and chilli from a bottle shop that stocks them (Duncans at Caloundra). They didn't have Bock unfortunately.

    Anyone else tried their beers???

I just looked at their price list on the web site. Some of the product sounds interesting but the prices, well, let's just say that I won't be buying any. $18 for four x 330 ml bottles is way over the top. Equivalent to $10 for a long neck 750 ml bottle of mainstream beers which usually sell singly around the $4 to $4.50.
