			Anyone here an AG brewer?

Just curious if anyone here all-grains? I used to do a mash most weekends, but for some reason, having a fridge with 2 kegs in it at all times, plus generally a dozen in cubes aging, i somehow got really fat. So I gave away all my gear to fellow brewers and left the hobby behind a few years back.

But now I really miss it! Especially seeing as I think most commercial beer is crap compared to what we used to make. Takes a lot of patience though and quite a few batches poured down drains!

Anyway, another great resources for brewers is AHB - AussieHomeBrewer.com

 Cheers and Beers

I am an all grain brewer, the system I use is BIAB, an acronym for Brew In A Bag, although you really only mash in the bag

I use 2 x 19L stainless steel pots and brew 20L batches, which after fermentation fills a 19L keg perfectly

I am relatively new to it, I've only done 4 brews using this method, before that was kits and I am never going back!
This method is cheaper and produces a much better beer. I bought a sack of Joe White ale malt from Grain and Grape, and some hops from the US, a 19L keg which is 2 and a bit slabs, costs me between $11 and $15, it depends on if I need to use a new packet of yeast, or I am organised and reuse the yeast cake.

I'm hooked on brewing, but having the kegs in the shed mean I drink more of the beer than I would if they were in bottles!
