How about from the spice section at your local supermarket?
Hi All,
I want to make a Hoegaarden and have most of the ingredients. I made a batch many years ago from a kit, but that had everything supplied. This time round I'm short the Coriander seeds.
My question is, where do you get these? Before anybody says ..... Bunnings, Gardening Shops, Nurseries, etc....I have considered that. However, I'm concerned that they may have been treated with a fertilizer or something like that.
Any ideas?
Worse case I can wait a while as I'm growing Coriander...but....
Cheers,

woolies or coles. Happy grinding![]()
Yeah you use orange zest and Coriander seed together....crushed Coriander seed.
The one and only time I've done this I was scratching my head over the combination until I crushed the seeds...very strong citrus smell.
So there is a question, maybe it has to be fresh to get this quality....mmmm.
MMM.....now this has got me intrigued....
As I said, only ever brewed one before and distinctly remember the citrus smell of the crushed seeds. Christ, I've been espousing that memory for years and it may have been the accelerant fertilizer the seeds were coated with....LOL!!!
Can't wait to give it another go....
I'll probably free up a keg in the next few weeks, so I'll put it together then and update.
Cheers,
Kev.
