Thanks to Andy_chil for pointing these out

Me and a couple of mates are going to buy a 50L unit and start brewing, the other 2 guys have brewed before, one kits and bottles, the other kits bottles and kegs, so that will help with some knowledge of the process

But I'm just after people who have them, from what I gather, which normal of things that costs a couple bucks, reading the internet, those that have them think they are great, those that don't usually say they are to dear and you can do it all far cheaper, cut alot more involved in the process

We are basically hoping to make good beer cheap, from what I read, everyone is very happy with all grain brewing and it makes a good beer, but I know from drinking other people home brew, is its not as good as they think, but that is only kit form stuff

So does anyone else have one, or personally know someone who does?

I've been brewing for years with kits and extracts, adding hops and honey and all sorts of stuff to be different. A few months ago I started BIAB brewing, (brew in the bag). I have a 50L keg with the top cut out and use fresh pre crushed grains. I make enough to get 2 19 litre sankey kegs from a brew plus a few bottles for later.I have a frame with a gas burner and a chain block to lift out the bag. I recently made a large strainer out of half a 50L keg with some holes drilled in to sparge the grains prior to boiling. It's great fun, so easy and the beer is fantastic...so much better than kit beer. Although, the last kit brew i made i added two tins of dark ale to about 5 litres of water on the stove with the dextrose and boiled for an hour adding hops additions as if it was from scratch and the taste was so much better too. Not sure how you guys do it but if you would like some pix or ideas on set up I am happy to help.I am north of brisbane and I get my grain and hops from Craftbrewer in capalaba. Fantastic service and willing to advise, give them a call.
