    Spray On Rust Protection

    Hi All,

I have a L494 RRS. It's pretty well protected underneath, bash plate wise, straight from the factory. I was surprised to discover that the plates are a combination of steel and alloy.

I recently discovered slight surface corrosion on one of the plates (steel) covering the fuel tank (?). At that stage the car had only been off-road once in its life, on Moreton Island. Having owned two D4s before, I'm familiar with a rigorous post-beach cleaning requirement, so was surprised to see this rust.

I will clean up what I can and repaint but am looking for recommendations for a spray inhibiter that I can slosh around the two plates to prevent any further rust.

    Cheers,

    Kev.

I've always been a fan of Killrust, simply because it's has worked for me. Others prefer lanolin or bitumen.

It should be available in smaller qualities.
