    Show us your worm farm.

My worm farm is a vital part of my raised bed garden system. The worms provide a brilliant fertiliser, both in their liquid"worm wee" wich I dilute at 30 to 50% in a watering can and their castings. The castings are soluble,I prefer to throw them under established vegies by the handful.Im no experimenting with my new gardening drill set and drilling holes close to seedlings and filling with castings.
My worm current farm is my best yet.Its a bottom harvest system.Compost worms are surface feeders,as the castings build up you can harvest the castings from below the worms, saves you having to sort worms out from the castings.
A few pics, the tub is a ute back fire tank that was thrown on the tip,a failed unit back from when we had a blow moulding mob in town.It has a false floor that is lined with shadecloth wich allows the worm wiz to collect,it has a tap to fill my watering can.I fitted 2 marine hatches to allow the harvest of castings.

Normally the hatches are chock full of castings,I harvested 15x25L buckets last weekend,I keep dragging it out until I get a cave in.

I harvest the castings every second month as a rule,I harvest the worm wiz every week so quite a productive unit. You can buy kits online to convert 240L wheelie bins, its where I got the idea for this setup.

    Impressive worm farm.
We had one, but we went away on holiday and the worms objected to being neglected, went under the fence to visit the neighbors and never returned. 😦

I use my main breeder farm to breed them up plus the castings worm wee.
Lots of people say they don't live in the normal garden.BOLLOCKS,if you want you babies back just water your garden more than you neighbour.Lots of people say the worms cant exsist in a normal garden, again BOLLOCKS,all they need is moisture and organic material I release worms from my farm all the time. They breed to conditions,if the feed is there they will breed.
