Not sure about Landy parts in S.A. Buy most parts through Les Richmond Automotive in Thomastown Vic. Good service and reasonable prices. Also stock genuine, aftermarket and second hand parts and will advise when to use either. No affiliation but happy customer.

Last rebuild of LT95 was about $1500 (will double check) including all bearings / heap of shims / circlips / oil pump / GSH 2nd gear / synchros / gaskets / oil feed ring and all seals.

i have put an add in the wanted section to see what turns up. my box isint that bad just shifting down into 3rd or trying to fast shift into second or if you push the gear leaver to far to the right.

maybe another box to rebuild but then all the boxs i have seen have been low final drive and just the cost of the gears have put me off that option.

    ITS A TRACTOR GEAR BOX....

    DONT RACE IT.....

the number of work orders I get concerning perenties that dont shift correctly and it turns out to be steerers trying to race shift the cold box is stupid.

Its not a hyundi micro light box it wont shift quickly.

It also pays to check the ball joint and locators on the top. IF its going to wide you might just need a new crush spacer up there.

Thanks, not racing it. will check out the locators ( just had a look at the book) my biggest concern is shifting down from 3rd to 4th, imposable with out doubling the clutch

This may be a stupid response but I have just ordered a new clutch slave cylinder after having similar trouble. You haven't mentioned clutch travel though so I supose you're on the right track.

Good point though. as i understand it, put it in reverse will be an indicator of clutch/slave/master problems.

My LT95 sometimes gets stuck in 1st 2nd and reverse, and need to change direction a few times to get it to release, or stick the handbrake on and kill the engine and it'll release.
Is this likely a clutch issue? I was thinking selector gates being the extremity gears are the ones causing problems. Clutch feels fine. 2nd synchro doesn't work well, needs double clutching.
... Sorry for the highjack Clean32

no probs with the hijack, the more issues we bring up hopefully the more answers, which increases the pool of knowledge.

in short i don’t know, my understanding was that if you cant get it in reverse with out crunching, then that’s an indicator of a clutch not completely disengaging. With your box getting stuck in gear could be that or a number of other problems. Hopefully some one will chime in with a bit more knowledge.

It seems that there could be a need for a communal box that could do the rounds as each of use do up or own, or maybe a meet in the middle of the island for a multy lt95 rebuild session
