    Oil Pressure Guage...........

The pipe from the engine to the oil pressure guage is leaking oil, any ideas as to where I can get a replacement ?? Would it be an Isuzu item or something that can be picked up from Repco or Supercheap auto ??

I noticed oil dripping down underneath and after much searching and jet washing I found this pipe to be the culprit. Unfortunately, I've made it worse by poking and prodding around. Any quick fix ideas anyone ??

What sort of pipe is it. Is it a copper one or plastic. If copper does it have a flexible or rubber section in it. Both copper and plastic tube are readily available at auto shops. I have a copper one with a flexible rubber hose where it joins the fitting in the block, has been in there for 15 odd years and hasnt given any trouble so far.(touch wood). I prefer copper to plastic for its ability to better handle engine bay heat.....Brian

It's a plastic pipe, I've tried to do a temporary repair with clear silicone, so hopefully it will last long enough to get me to a auto shop.

Has the plastic cracked or rubbed through?

They use an olive in the fitting, you might just need a new olive or the connector might need tightning down to clamp down on the olive.

Got the necessary bits to carry out a repair, but as I tried to undo the nut to release the pipe the whole assembly snapped off

Luckily I purchased a blanking cap to keep for emergencies, so at least I've now cured the leak

Is there an easy way to get behind the dash to disconnect oil pressure guage ??

Hi Bearman it's an '85 County, the oil pressure guage is to the left of the speedo.I'm sure it's an aftermarket fitment.

I have managed to get a connector piece, so I've cut out the bad section of pipe and rejoined it. So far so good, so I'll put off taking out the dash for now
