Welcome, and this is good news.![]()
Hi,
I am glad to write down that my Landy, after a lot of work, is running with the Famous 3,9 4BD1T Isuzu engine.
It runs fabulous, is has a LT 85 gearbox and a 1.2 transferbox.
A 1.0 transferbox from and old range Rover is waiting to be mounted after my holiday.
Greetings from the Netherlands.

Welcome, and this is good news.![]()
Welcome. Pictures would be good (mainly of the engine, but the whole vehicle as well).

G'day All, My 26 year old 110 Isuzu County is still going strong, pulls like a Locomotive, some pix of your conversion would be great (as others had stated) cheers Dennis
PS you would be most likely the only person in the Netherlands with one![]()
Here are some pictures of my conversion.
As you can see, I also have some welding to do, but that was not the main issue.
I also made a RHD to LHD conversion at the same time.
I used a 1994 discovery as a "Donor" car, for the front axle, and the steering box.

It's good to see it all fits on a LHD rover. Where did you source your engine? It looks like an early 85-86 model like mine with the top mount IHI turbo.
Good job, Takel
It was a little drama. My engine came from a RHD 110. I needed the place where the steering pump was originally mounted on the engine, for my LHD steering box.
I used the front axle (is a littlebit wider), the steering box and the atf reservoir from the Disco. The rest I converted myself from RHD to LHD with a little fantasy and some welding gear.
For my steering pump I made a new mounting myself.

I bought the engine together with the LT 85 and transferbox from a guy in the Netherlands, who wanted to put it in his own car, until he discovered that the engine is too powerful for the automatic gearbox from a disco, and he only wants to drive an automatic.
This guy had bougt the engine in England.
And yes, the engine is a 1986 model. ( do you know more about these turbo's??)
