Perentie! How would we go with spare parts?

Gurus, (that should be how would we go WITH spare parts?)

    Is a perentie like a 110 county?

Apart from the galv chassis, bullbar and back bumper are there any other differences?

Are the instrument panels an interior controls the same?

    Thanks

    Pretty much a 110.

They sit a little higher than a standard 110 - but you get a lift kit for that.

It's not just the rear bumper, the chassis rails to the rear of the spring mounts are wider to fit the spare in between. The fuel tank is much like a 90's tank.

The CDL switch is a rotary on the dash and the black out switch but once again all Rover parts.

The doors are Wolfe top and bottom - all ex-UK.

The transfer part of the LT95 is a taper bearing type .997 ratio and then there's the bottom power take off.

The problem is that from JLR they still have the military price tag attached.

For example the battery cradle for each side of the FFR is about $1,500.00

The 4BD1 is the same, although the military doesn't like PAS.

    The ROP is unique.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I believe most parts are either Land Rover or Isuzu. Not much in the way of bespoke parts.

Front dumb irons and rear spring cradle beefed up. So standard bar and disco offset rims don't fit. Has pbr master cylinder Mitsubishi starter hitachi alternator spin on filters. Mine has rfsv front axle. I'm sure there are other things I've missed.

What is an RFSV axle. regional force surveillance vehicle? I assume but the axle I assume that it is reinforced in someway?

What about the guts of the axles are they the beefed up CVees and do they use a rover front diff and a plough Salisbury rear?

Cvs are the same, rsfv center is 4 pinion instead of 2. Rear sals is the same, heavier duty prop shaft and drag link. A lot of rear sals axles converted to disc brake I think. RFSV has lower geared transfer.

Dave can probably confirm, but my mate (ex-JRA engineer) reckoned that the brake booster was a '79 or so F250 twin diaphragm job (or maybe that was the 6x6 ?)

Would I be correct to say that if you had a part like the brake booster fail either 4x4 or 6x6 and pulled the thing out, identified the brand and any numbers on it that someone with a catalog (maybe google) would be able to confirm what vehicles the part was used on?

With something like Perentie that was not sold to the public and made up from a parts bin by the JRA engineers would it be likely that someone with the catalog would be able to say "Oh, yes that booster part number was used on an F250 and a Perentie 6x6" or would that link to Parentie be broken and only able to obtain the info from JRA or LR (I take it JRA are no more)
