:D Its all good mate!
In fact the 'Cruiser 12HT, the Nissan Td42, and the 'good old' 4BD1 are my favourite legendary tough diesel engines. There can't be too many who would dispute that.

This is another legendary Nissan engine, but for somewhat different reasons.............:D

I have a customer with a HJ61 Sahara, apart from the fact that it is a little dated in the dash department I like driving it. 740,000km and still going strong. Engine overhauled at 500K, ( I suspect because 'it could be', it was owned by a trucking company boss apparently) should see a million easily.
Even with leaf springs the ride is pretty good:eek: Nippondenso A/C is icy, power steering is a little approximate but really, I'd rely on it to go for ages yet. IMHO the last decent Toyota was the 80 series, but the bestest engine was still the 12HT.

That's an impressive mileage:eek:. I've seen a few very tidy late 61 Sahara autos lately but a few are up around 12k, most around 8/10k. I just couldn't bring myself to part with potentially D2 money for a 1989 LC. I'd have to sell my D1 to get me halfway there, and it is an incredibly well set up vehicle with about as much spent on mods than market value.
THAT MUCH??? A fellow in WA I used to work for has an auto sahara with 650K, everything works, 240litre longrange tank:eek:, dual a/c, etc etc etc in good running order for about$6500. I was impressed as to its condition etc and even thought about buying it and bringing it over here, as there are precious few good examples here.

Does your old boy have that or the HZ? I didn't see a Troopy and KK around in Canberra.

That one's 12650, but it looks very nice. There's one above it for 16k but I reckon he's a bit off the mark.
OMG LOOK at this one :eek:
