If there is a start enrichment cam it will be on the side of the pump facing the block. A short jumper cable usually brings the connection to the top of the pump for cable connection.
I know the 4BD2 pumps (indirect injection) don't have enrichment, but I've never checked on an older 4BD1. My engine is factory T from 85/86.
So what's the VNT turbo problem? Is the shaft worn?
Nope - I forgot about the LH thread and sheared the end off the shaft. Piccy back in post #73
Lots of other models you can get the shaft for, but cant find anyone that can get hold of this one. Apparently Garrett wont sell the parts separately.
New turbine shaft arrived this morning for the T25G I'm going to use to get me going (old turbine was injured while eating its own heatshield).
Steve
Oh bugger.
I know garrett won't sell them, but others might. Melett have a whole range of shafts for VNT garretts.

Cheers - I've just emailed them.
Will also measure mine up tonight and see if there is a matching one in that catalogue.
Steve
Steve it might be the same as the ones in the turbos i have GT2260vnt, i'll go to the shed and check.
Oh and that shut off motor thingy looks to be the same as the Mazda T3500 ones, they run the same pump as the isuzu (basically)
hmm looks identical, wonder if it'll fit?![]()
