That seems to fit the story I've heard. - I have a 1986 90 with a flat roof and push button handles. The PO (who imported it from the UK) told me it was owned by Land Rover for many years and was one of the first defender looking 90's produced. I used to think its a bitzer, but there don't appear to be any "county" features on it, so I'm inclined to believe the PO. Unfortunately, it also has thinner panels all round.

    Cheers

Yep, I know there were a lot of different colours, but the Isuzu countys that Im interested in, are the last ones made alongside the Perenti ones, made at Moorebank by JRA. At the time all imported ones with the same decals were V8 petrol. Thanks for the pictures, anymore?

You must have good taste then!

From memory it was sold to a Steve, came from Wollombi way, I think. One time on my way through Cessnock a couple of years ago, I saw a Series 3 parked in the bowls club, and could have sworn it was wearing the plates we sold the County with. So that kind-of fitted.

The solar panel on our old County sat flush, so the roof ribs must have gone in '89.

    Rangier's 120 is 1989 model.
I think that's a part why I reckon it's one of the best examples of the spirit of Land Rover.

    Cool

I disagree, Murray, I consider the '85' Isuzu 110, or rather the model with the old Landrover style door handles, the LT95, the ribbed roof, and gal. door capping to be the purist and best of the Isuzu's and Landrovers overall. Anything different is becoming more Defenderised or going backward, ie leaf springs.

To add to the confusion, mine is mid '87, and has a ribbed roof, gal capping, with Defender door handles, but no rear vents.
