You can have 600Nm if it really takes your fancey.
Maybe talk to The Grubb about an Isuzu gearbox conversion. No more hassles ever.

hmm not quite sure yet, i emailed that place to told me about and they were way over my price rang $7000 !! but thats with front mount. and mike vines was $5500, im not up to doing it myself but i might be able to get some mates to help me out :D i think i might get the turbo i got at home rebuilt and use that, to save the cost, it came with the car when i got it :D pretty sure it is a garret T25
Give Turboglide a bell, they'll do a kit for you if you unable do do it yourself
Turbo-Glide: Welcome to Turbo Glide
Here's the DIY option.
You've got the turbo, don't bother rebuilding it until you've tried it.
Manifold - from Isuzu.
T3-T25 adapter flange, either make my 2 piece design yourself or buy a 5 piece from Matt McInnes.
Exhaust shop can do the downpipe and intake plumbing for you.
Hydraulics shop should be able to do the oil feed and drains for you.
I can't see that costing anywhere near the quoted prices, even including trucking your rover from workshop to workshop.
It's all been done before, there are plenty of photos on here to work from. Only sticking point could be air-con. I've never seen the air-con setup so I don't know how much of a show-stopper this is.
I have a turbo glide kit. I bought it because I didn't want to be running around trying to find all the parts. The so called "kit" required a lot of modification to fit. The fittings supplied were old, rusty and some even the wrong thread type (the oil fitting into the turbo housing for example:o). After a month of leaking oil I took the turbo to a local guy to find out why it leaked. Cause...wrong fitting...he tried to talk to turbo glide to clarify the thread type and was hung up on. He couldn't belive it!! I didn't use half the items supplied and manufactured my own parts. For the privilage I paid $3000. I will say that I'm happy with the turbo glide crossover pipe though, but I will never, never deal with them again!
I recommend getting
- turbo dougal recommended...
- factory isuzu manifold
- oil fittings from enzed, etc
- elbows from an exhaust shop
- silicone pipe from repco etc
You could easily make the crossover pipe if you wanted. Fitting the turbo is not hard, but did take some time.
