I used the standard V8 rad with my Isuzu. Never had over heating issues directly related to the rad, sits right on 82*, but I do need to run with the rad cap on the expansion tank undone to the stop, otherwise the temp spikes up and down dramatically.Quote:

Hi murray, Finally I'm getting my 'real' vehicle on the road:D I had no overheating issues at all with that engine in the RRC with a standard Disco V8 rad, so should be OK.Quote:

This is the first time I've seen a turbo bolted around that way in a rover. I see the snake exhaust you've done to clear the starter etc.
I'll be keen to see some more photos around that with engine mount clearance etc.
Good way to do it when FMIC doubles as a crossover pipe. Also keeps heat away from the alternator.
Impressive set up JC. I will be interested to see how the engine temps go with the radiator set up, and how the intercooler performs. Are you removing the belt driven fan?

The same set up was in my RRC, although I was using a V8 crossflow Rangie radiator, and a bar and insect mesh etc in front, it NEVER had any overheating issues, even towing at 100Km/h in 40degrees in SA, transfer case temps got to 100Deg:eek:, but engine has never got hot. yes, I will be keeping the fan, and I was worried about the alternator so that was one of the reasons I set it up that way. Basically, the engine as a unit with ancilliaries was just pulled from the RRC and plonked in the 110:D. The only mods apart from engine mounts, are the inlet and outlet plumbing for the intercooler, and a lengthening /rerouting of the rear of the exhaust. Used the Rangie round crossmember to allow for exhaust to still run where it did in the RR, and ease of trans oil checking etc.Quote:

Which rooftop AC are you using??? A reddot type like Gerry, or just a roof mounted evap/fan unit inside the cabin???
